
Introduction to Tech Packs for Fashion Design
This course introduces students to the role and application of technical specification packages (“techpacks”) within the fashion industry. Emphasis is placed on understanding how tech packs function as a communication tool between designers and manufacturers, with attention to variations used by small enterprises, large corporations, and independent designers. Students will examine the essential components of a tech pack and gain practical experience by creating a basic version using MicroSoft Excel.
