A Virginia native, Ayana Ames attended The University of Alabama, where she found her love for menswear. She has worked many positions in various fields, spanning from photography to funeral service, of which many aspects, skills, and more have carried over into her brand, Am.A-line Collections.
Ayana continuously looks for depth and the essence of a thing or person. It serves as inspiration to build upon relationships, various connections, and her design process. It also allows for a context on how to build a community. Community is at the heart of her brand and what Ayana wants to shine through most. It is so deeply ingrained in her to build a community that then helps one another to continue to grow.
